Wow, I can't believe what happened to Nilton Fernandes. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this tragic time. It's really hard to wrap my mind around the fact that this happened on what's supposed to be a day of new beginnings. I’ve lived in the Dorchester area for a while, and it's really unsettling that something like this could occur so close to home. I was reading an article that mentioned Doug Lowe and his thoughts, and I couldn't agree more with him—the contrast between the hopes for the new year and the reality of this event is truly gut-wrenching. It’s scary to think about the broader context of gun violence in Boston and to realize that this is just one of many tragedies. I truly hope the Boston PD gets the information they need. Maybe someone here knows something small that could make a difference. Sometimes even the tiniest detail can be the key piece of a puzzle. Stay safe out there, everyone.
