I've been following the case of Jocelyn Bolf closely, and my thoughts are with her family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time. One thing that really sticks with me after the trial is the role of technology in bringing these criminals to justice. The use of cell phone tracking data and Snapchat videos played a huge part in piecing together the events of that night and helped secure convictions. It's unsettling to think about how these digital footprints, something many of us don't even think twice about, became pivotal in solving such a tragic case. It makes you wonder how often technology is used in cases like these and if the perpetrators realize how much they're being tracked. Without this evidence, the story might have been very different. I can't imagine the grief Jocelyn's loved ones are feeling, but I hope the conviction brings some measure of peace. Let’s hope the justice system continues to serve her memory and those left to carry on without her.
