I’ve been reading a lot about the tragic incident at Beech Meadow Apartments, and I keep coming back to the fact that Jackson Porter called 911 himself and waited for the police to arrive. It’s so hard to wrap my head around that part. What must have been going through his mind in those moments? To watch YouTube together and then make such an abrupt decision seems utterly surreal. It really speaks to a profound internal conflict or something deeper that we might not yet understand. My heart truly goes out to Alexander Bohman’s family; their disbelief and sadness must be overwhelming. I’m also thinking about the community and how an act like this can ripple through, affecting not just those directly involved, but everyone who knew them. I'm just struck by how a seemingly normal day can turn into such a devastating tragedy. Sending love to everyone grappling with this terrible event.

I'm devastated by the news of Alexander Bohman's tragic death. It's so hard to wrap my head around the fact that these young men were once friends and even roommates. What strikes me beyond the terrible loss of Alex's life is the ripple effect this has on the community. A whole high school went into lockdown. I can't imagine the fear and confusion those students and their families must have felt, not knowing what was happening. Porter's actions seem so calculated, given the details of how he purchased a gun and ammo just before the shooting. Yet, it's baffling that he simultaneously made the decision to turn himself in immediately. It raises so many questions for me about his state of mind. How could things have spiraled so quickly between them to end up like this? I feel for Alex's family and friends—they must be going through unimaginable pain, especially with the conflicting narratives regarding the motive. Whether it was over drugs, money, or something else entirely, it's a senseless loss. I'm hoping that justice will bring some form of closure to Alex's loved ones, though I know it can never truly replace the future he and his family deserved.
