I can't stop thinking about the impact losing someone so young has on a family and community. Josiah Small, just 12 years old, had his whole life ahead of him—football, anime nights, and sharing laughs with his sister. It's difficult to imagine the heartbreak his family must be experiencing. The ripple effect of such a tragedy is immense. I was deeply touched to hear about the community's prayer vigil and the support systems put in place at his school. It shows how communities can come together in times of unimaginable pain, even though it doesn't erase the loss. Does anyone have thoughts on how we might better support families and schools dealing with such senseless acts of violence? The measures taken by Dickinson Fine Arts Academy seem like a step in the right direction, but there has to be more we can do collectively to prevent tragedies like this from happening.
