Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Mario Davaughn Smith Jr., and I just can't stop thinking about how senseless this was. What’s really weighing on my mind is the way his aunt and uncle had to find him. I mean, they were tracked to the scene by his iPhone. Can you even imagine the panic and heartbreak they must have felt rushing over, hoping it wasn’t as bad as it sounded, only to find their worst fears confirmed? It's one thing to hear about something happening on the phone and another to be there in person, faced with that reality. It's frustrating to see how the system sometimes handles these emergencies. I really hope the family can get more answers and some peace. Also, the fact that a 14-year-old was involved really highlights the dire need for addressing gun violence among our youth. I feel for everyone's involved, and I hope justice is served for Mario and his loved ones. How do you all feel about younger suspects being tried as adults in cases like these? It's such a complicated issue, but something needs to change to prevent this from happening again. Sending strength to his family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
