It's truly tragic to hear about what happened to Nathaniel Lee Thomas. Nathaniel was so young, only 21, and had his whole life ahead of him. My thoughts are with his friends and family right now as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. As I was reading about the case, I couldn't help but wonder about the connection (or lack thereof) between this tragic incident on West Michigan Street and the one on West Vermont Street. It's terrifying to think that there might be a link, perhaps indicating a larger threat to the community. Detective Keedy definitely has his work cut out for him. I really hope that anyone who might have seen or heard something will come forward. Gun violence is such a devastating problem in Indianapolis, and it affects us all. Let's hope for justice for Nathaniel and for some peace for his loved ones.
