I can't stop thinking about how terrifying this must have been for Makayla and her brother. The fact that they were just trying to escape an attempted robbery is so chilling. I can't imagine what Kaden must be going through, knowing they were initially unaware of her injuries after leaving the scene. It's just so incredibly tragic.
I'm also really concerned about the safety of the area, especially with the reports of police searching vacant apartments nearby. It makes me wonder how many other incidents go unreported until something horrific like this happens. I hope they can get more information from anyone who might have witnessed anything. This family and the community deserve answers and justice. Rest in peace, Makayla. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.
