Just a thought: has anyone looked into the possibility that Cody had planned to meet someone for a job opportunity? I know it's pure speculation, but sometimes when folks are down on their luck and without a vehicle, they might rely on word-of-mouth jobs or gigs. It might explain why he didn't share specific details with his family about the meeting. Maybe there's a local group or someone offering jobs around that time who might know more about who he was meeting? Just trying to think outside the box here, given how few clues there are. Anyone else thinking along these lines or is it just me?
Has anyone else been puzzled by the delay in reporting Cody Dearing missing? It’s interesting that his family waited about a week to alert authorities. While I’m not blaming them (everyone handles these situations differently), it makes me wonder if there was something about Cody’s lifestyle or communications that made them initially think nothing was wrong. We’ve seen in other cases that delays like this can complicate investigations, especially since he didn’t have a vehicle and likely relied heavily on others for rides. It must have been incredibly challenging for his family not to immediately assume the worst but ultimately feel the need to report him missing. Thoughts?
Has anyone else noticed the odd timing about when Cody was reported missing? It's strange that it took a week before his family contacted the authorities. I wonder if there were any initial signs that something was amiss during that period, or if Cody often kept in touch sporadically. Sometimes, people have valid reasons for delays, but in cases like these, every moment seems crucial. Perhaps his family assumed he was just out of contact for a bit, as he may have done in the past? It would be interesting to know if there had been any previous lapses in communication similar to this, or if this was truly out of the ordinary for Cody.
