I've been thinking a lot about the candlelight vigil held for Ashuntice Wilburn, and it really struck a chord with me. It must be incredibly hard for her family and the community to come together to honor her while grappling with such an immense loss. The presence of Reverend Ira J. Acree and the discussions around the need for gun control and community reform are so important. It's a sad reminder of the changes that are desperately needed in our neighborhoods to protect our youth. I'm grateful that her family is considering turning their pain into action with a foundation, which could potentially have a lasting impact. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragedy, and I hope that Ashuntice's legacy can inspire a safer, more connected community.
