Just read about the awful incident at the Hilton Suites in Oakbrook Terrace involving Calvin Truitt, and I can't stop thinking about the people experiencing the aftermath of this tragedy, especially Calvin's close friends and family. Elevator rides should never end in such senseless violence. It's baffling how a verbal argument escalated so rapidly to this. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around why Latrice Phillips had a gun with her in the first place, especially at a hotel pool. It's easy to forget how quickly things can turn dangerous. My thoughts are with Calvin's loved ones as they navigate this difficult time, and I hope the justice system handles the case with the seriousness it deserves. Anyone else feel uneasy about this whole sequence of events?
