I can't stop thinking about Demetrius Dorn and how his life was senselessly taken. It's deeply unsettling that such violence erupted during what should have been a celebratory weekend. As someone who grew up in Chicago, I know just how vibrant and supportive our communities can be, which makes this even harder to comprehend. I'm really concerned about the ongoing violence in Chicago, especially during these holiday weekends. It seems like the community and authorities both need to come together more than ever to address these tragic issues. The lack of updates in Demetrius's case is frustrating and must be incredibly painful for his loved ones. Has anyone heard anything more about the community initiatives or changes in patrolling after that weekend?
