I've been thinking a lot about what life was like for Eileen Wafer in 1982. It's chilling to imagine someone taking advantage of a young girl who was simply looking after her siblings. Eileen’s family must have been filled with dread, not only experiencing the initial horror of her going missing but then learning the truth days later. It must have felt like time stood still during those four days. It’s hard to comprehend how someone could turn such an innocent evening into a nightmare. My heart goes out to her family and the pain they’ve endured for all these years. Anyone have theories on why someone would target a babysitter in such a horrific way?
