I just can't stop thinking about the impact this senseless act has on the community of Hampton, especially when I hear about someone like Stephen Blizzard. It's always the people who give so much back that seem to be taken too soon. From what I read, Stephen was such a pillar in the neighborhood—not only serving as the vice president of the HOA but also being so approachable and kind to everyone around him. I've worked with veterans, and their sense of duty and service often extends into everything they do, even after they hang up their uniforms. It’s beyond upsetting to think about how a person so dedicated to his family and community can be lost in such a violent manner. My thoughts are with his grandchildren, who will have to grow up without their Paw Paw Steve. I hope the community can find some healing and continue to honor Stephen and the others who were lost. It's times like these that make us appreciate the importance of unity and support amidst tragedy.

It’s truly devastating to read about the tragic events that unfolded in the Dogwood Lakes neighborhood. I wanted to take a moment to talk about Stephen Blizzard and his incredible dedication to his community. It’s clear that Stephen was more than just a neighbor; he was a cornerstone of the area. His involvement in the homeowner’s association shows how much he cared about those around him. It's so touching to hear about his love for photography, travel, and especially how he doted on his grandchildren. I can’t imagine the pain his family is going through, especially with memories of all the plans they shared, like that Route 66 trip with his brother Harold. It’s small stories like these that remind us of the human aspect behind the tragedy. The loss of someone who gave so much to their community is deeply felt, and my thoughts are with Stephen’s family and everyone affected. It’s so important that we continue to hold these victims in our hearts and support each other in times of such senseless violence.
