I've been thinking about the discovery of Ellsworth's truck at Lagoon Amusement Park. It strikes me as odd that it was left there with the keys in the ignition. Lagoon’s a popular spot, even back in 1947, so it's surprising that no one reported seeing anything unusual. Maybe he had one of his blackouts there and wandered off? Or could it have been staged to make it look like he abandoned the vehicle himself? The fact that his cap and lunch bucket were still in the truck makes me think he left in a hurry—or maybe he was meeting someone? I can't help but wonder why that location was significant. Was it just convenient, or was there something about Lagoon that held a particular meaning to Ellsworth? It's so frustrating that this piece of the puzzle doesn’t seem to have brought investigators any closer to solving the case.
