I’ve been following the updates on the murder of Damenica Roddy, and I just can't shake the thought about the role of gas station security in incidents like this. It's so tragic what happened to Damenica, especially being just 18 and with her whole future ahead at Savannah State University. But it also makes me wonder if more could be done to prevent senseless violence like this at gas stations. From what I've read, there's been some talk about potential security negligence at the Chevron where this took place. Do any of you know if there are standard security measures that gas stations are supposed to follow? And if so, could lapses in these measures have contributed in any way to this tragedy? I genuinely feel for Damenica's friends and family, and I hope any discussions around this lead to better safety measures to protect people in the future. ?
