Did anyone else see the heartbreaking footage from the Ring camera? It really gives you chills. Watching Courtney Reese plead for her life is haunting and brings home how sudden and brutal these attacks can be. It’s terrifying to think about how vulnerable we are, even in what should be our safest spaces. My heart goes out to her children and family. It's hard to imagine what they're going through, having to endure such unspeakable loss not once, but twice in the span of just a few months. There's been a lot of discussion about the issues surrounding domestic violence that Mayor Dickens touched on. It makes me wonder how many more lives might be saved if we had better support systems and preventative measures in place. I'm hopeful this tragedy will bring some much-needed attention to those areas. Does anyone here have insight on what kind of initiatives might make a difference?
