Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Jaquon Reeves, and it's truly difficult to wrap my head around the senselessness of what happened at William Sheffield Park. As a mother, I can't even begin to imagine the pain Jaquon's family is feeling. But what's been on my mind is the impact this has on the community, especially the students at First Coast High. This loss isn't just one family's burden; it's shaken an entire community of young people who are now faced with the harsh reality of violence so close to home. Does anyone have insights into how schools generally support students after such traumatic events? Are there counselors available long-term, or do they tend to move on quickly once the media attention fades? I'm really hoping the students at First Coast have a strong support system to lean on as they process everything. It just seems incredibly crucial for the healing process, and I sincerely hope the community can come together to create a safer environment for these kids. ?

I just can't stop thinking about the role social media might have played in the events leading up to Jaquon Reeves’ death. We see so many cases these days where social media escalates conflicts among young people, sometimes with deadly consequences. With how connected everyone is, I wonder if any online arguments or threats were circulating around that time which might provide more insight into why this terrible incident at the vigil occurred. My heart truly goes out to Jaquon's family and friends. It's unimaginable to lose someone so young in such a senseless way. Has anyone found any more information on social media discussions or conflicts related to this case? I hope these young people learn that violence is never the answer.?
