I've been following the tragic case of Roberto Deleon and Beatriz Vega from Douglasville, and my heart goes out to their families and friends during this unimaginably painful time. I was particularly struck by the descriptions of Beatriz by her soccer coach. It sounds like she was an incredible young woman with so much potential and positivity to offer the world. Her loss will be felt deeply, especially at Pebblebrook High School. One aspect that puzzles me is the location where this all happened. The 3200 block of West Stewart Mill Road isn't far from some residential areas. Did anyone in the surrounding neighborhoods hear or see anything strange that night? Sometimes people notice things that seem insignificant at the time but can actually be crucial pieces of the puzzle. If you live in the area or were nearby and noticed anything unusual, even the smallest detail might help the investigation. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this senseless act of violence.
