Hi everyone, I can’t stop thinking about the tragic loss of Jaqiah Johnson and the immense pain her family must be experiencing right now. I wanted to bring up something I noticed while looking at the area where the incident occurred. The shooting happened near Boone Elementary School, which really stood out to me. It’s troubling to think about such violence happening so close to where children are supposed to feel safe and learn. It makes me wonder if there were any kids around when it happened and how this will affect them and their sense of security in an environment that should be peaceful and secure. I hope the community can come together to support each other through this difficult time and work towards making the neighborhood safer for everyone. If anyone has thoughts on how we can help foster a safer environment around schools, please share. My heart goes out to Jaqiah’s family and friends and everyone impacted by this senseless tragedy.
