Anyone else deeply concerned about the rise in crime around Howard University? The tragic loss of Marquis Ward is just devastating and really highlights the urgent need for better safety measures in the area. While it's reassuring to hear that Howard University is committed to working with MPD and city leaders, I can’t help but wonder if more immediate actions could be taken to protect students and residents alike. An increased visible police presence or even a neighborhood watch program might make a difference. It's terrifying to think about what the people living and studying in the area must be feeling right now. Hoping for justice for Marquis and that this incident serves as a wake-up call to improve safety in the community. Thoughts?
