On June 21, 2009, 47-year-old Rueben Perez-Silva, lost his life inside a residence in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. That Sunday, officers were dispatched to the home after reports of an altercation involving a firearm. When they arrived, they found Rueben critically wounded, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite any efforts that may have been made at the scene, he was pronounced dead there, his life ending abruptly in the space where he should have been safest.
