I've been following the tragic events on U Street closely, and my thoughts are with Kenneth Goins' family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. It's terrible to think that someone out there might know something that could help bring justice to Kenneth and yet hasn't come forward. While the police are doing their best, I can't help but wonder about the role of the community in cases like these.
Has anyone noticed any increased police presence or community meetings happening in that area since the incident? I know in some neighborhoods, local businesses and residents often come together to discuss safety measures and how to support each other. It could be beneficial if the local community near U Street organized something similar to foster a sense of unity and open dialogue with authorities.
Also, I read about nearby surveillance cameras being used by investigators. If more businesses install or ensure their cameras are functioning, it might deter future incidents or at least provide vital evidence. Please, if anyone has other ideas or personal experiences with improving neighborhood safety, share them. Every little bit helps, and it might prevent another family from facing such a tragic loss.

I've been following the tragic case of Kenneth Goins deeply, and something struck me about the location of the incident. U Street is usually bustling with nightlife and energy. Desperados Burgers & Bar, where Kenneth was found, is in an area that many locals frequent for a fun night out.
