On the morning of April 28, 2024, a burst of gunfire on the 2600 block of Bladensburg Road NE in Washington, D.C., left 72-year-old Larry Kiser of Northwest D.C. mortally wounded. Officers from the Fifth District arrived about 11:35 a.m. and found Kiser with multiple gunshot wounds; he was taken to a hospital and died shortly after arrival.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch is investigating. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction, and authorities are asking anyone with knowledge to contact the department or submit anonymous tips by text.
