In the small city of Idabel, Oklahoma, a bright summer day in June of 2019 was shattered by a shocking act of violence that left a young man and a mother and her child dead. John ODale Larry, a 22-year-old male, was known as a loving father to his son, Allen, and a 2014 graduate of Idabel High School. His life was cut tragically short on the morning of June 4, 2019.
On that fateful morning, Larry was confronted by 21-year-old LaSharon Carter.
In a brief and unsettling encounter, Carter reportedly apologized to Larry before disappearing back into her nearby home. Moments later, the sound of gunfire echoed through the neighborhood. Larry was discovered with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and right arm. Despite being rushed to McCurtain Memorial Hospital, his injuries proved to be fatal.
The tragedy deepened as law enforcement investigated the scene. Inside Carter's residence, they made a grim discovery. Carter and her 14-month-old child were both found with fatal gunshot wounds. The infant was pronounced dead at the scene, while Carter succumbed to her injuries as she was being transported to a hospital in Dallas.
