This whole situation is just so terribly sad and makes me think about how easy it is for young people to access firearms. I can’t imagine the pain David's family must be going through right now. I know teens often feel invincible, but bringing a gun into a social setting can lead to such devastating outcomes. I keep thinking about the impact this will have not just on David's family but also on the girl involved and her family as well. It's going to change her life forever too, and it just seems like this could have all been prevented with more education and better safety measures around firearms. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. It’s such a harsh reminder of the reality we live in.
