Does anyone else find it upsetting how social media can be used in cases like Kerris Angel Silva's? I can’t even begin to imagine what it must feel like for his family to see the suspect taunting them online. It’s like adding salt to an open wound. Social media is such a powerful tool for good but can also be so destructive, especially in a situation like this. There’s something so unsettling about the dehumanizing effect it can have. I really hope the police can use these interactions to help track the person down. Has anyone heard if they’re using digital forensics to their advantage in this case? Keeping Kerris’s family in my thoughts and hoping for progress soon.
