Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about the tragic incident that happened to Tyreck Cameron and others at the party in Montbello. One thing that really stood out to me was the location of the shooting. It’s unsettling to think that this took place in a leased space within an industrial complex. These spots are usually bustling with activity during the day but feel so isolated at night, which might make them attractive for gatherings like this, yet they lack any sort of built-in security or oversight that could potentially deter crime. It raises a lot of questions about how these spaces are being utilized after hours. Are owners aware, or do they just turn a blind eye as long as they’re getting rent? And, given the seriousness of what happened, should there be a push for more regulation around leasing these kinds of spaces for events? My heart goes out to the families of Tyreck, Tre'Joun, Eric, and all those affected. It's so important we find ways to prevent this in the future. Let’s discuss what can be done for better security and perhaps more accountable leasing practices. Would love to hear any ideas or thoughts you guys have on this. Take care, everyone.
