I was thinking today about how Alonzo's dreams were just starting to take shape. It's so unfair that his enthusiasm and plans were cut short in such a senseless act of violence. I recently came across a post from one of his friends who talked about how Alonzo was looking forward to finding his own place and making it feel like home. It got me wondering about how many other young lives are similarly affected by gun violence. The loss isn't just about the present; it's also about all the future experiences they’ll never have. I hope we can keep sharing Alonzo's story and advocate for change. His family deserves to see some positive outcomes from this tragedy, something that can honor his memory by helping others in his situation. My thoughts are with his loved ones constantly.

I’ve been following Alonzo Morales’s case, and I just can’t stop thinking about his mom. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain she’s going through. To receive that call and have your world shattered in seconds is unimaginable. I admire the strength she has shown during all of this, especially in setting up the fundraiser. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help during such a vulnerable time. The community really came together, and it’s heartening to see so many rallying in support, but it shouldn't have taken such a tragedy for this to happen. It's also important to keep this conversation going about the broader issue at hand—gun violence and its devastating effects on families. Alonzo was at the cusp of starting his independent life, and it was taken away from him so abruptly. No family should have to go through this. Sending love to Alonzo’s family and friends. ?
