Hey everyone,
I've been pondering over the details of the Drake-Hoyt case, and something that struck me was the letter they sent to the property owner. It seems like they were really concerned about taking care of everything even after they were gone - their property, their pets, and making sure someone found them. It just makes me wonder about the desperation and loneliness they must have felt, believing this was their only option.
It's a stark reminder that we often don't see the battles people are fighting behind closed doors. I can't help but think about what might have happened if there were more support available for them. Were there signs that friends or family might have missed? My heart goes out to their loved ones, who must be grappling with so many questions and emotions right now.
In any case, I hope this serves as a wake-up call to check in with those we care about, especially our older friends and relatives. It might make all the difference. If anyone has more insight into what resources were—or weren't—available for them, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Stay safe, and take care of each other.
