Has anyone else been thinking about the role of community in this tragedy? I can't stop thinking about all the witnesses at Cholla Park who were there that day. It must have been incredibly traumatic for them to witness such a devastating event unfold right in front of their eyes. I've read that Clayton Boyce tried to help before responders got there—it shows that even amid panic and chaos, strangers can step up with compassion.
It's awful to think about how this has affected so many people, not just Tammy's family, who are undoubtedly in immense pain. I hope that everyone who saw what happened is able to find peace and healing. Does anyone know if there's been any outreach or counseling offered to those witnesses? We often focus on immediate family, understandably, but these situations ripple out into the community in powerful ways. If anyone has information on that, or knows how people can support those witnesses, I'd love to hear it. No one should have to shoulder such traumatic memories alone.
