I've been thinking about the service for Lance held back in February. The ceremony seemed like it was filled with so much love and respect for who he was and what he meant to his community. I feel for the family having to go through such pain and still find the strength to celebrate his life. The mention of pallbearers and honorary pallbearers got me thinking about the ties that bind us, even in times of deep sorrow. It’s touching how the community came together, paying their respects with that drive-thru reception—an innovative way to honor Lance amidst everything else happening. I hope the family felt supported and knew how many people were there thinking of them. Rest in peace, Lance. You're missed by many.
