I read about how she was the one driving when it all happened. Just the thought of being in her place, picking up your child unexpectedly only for such a tragedy to unfold, is hard to comprehend. It’s moments like these that make you question the effectiveness of community safety measures—how one individual's chaotic actions can wreak such havoc in mere moments. It’s heartening to see the community rallying behind the family, but it also highlights the larger conversation we need to have about addressing mental health and substance abuse, alongside gun control measures. Sending strength to Eunice’s loved ones as they navigate the immense pain and search for justice.
