Benjamin Curtis Andersen's case is puzzling, especially considering his experience and familiarity with the outdoors. I'm particularly curious about his involvement in the "Bigfoot 200" ultramarathon. Having completed it once already in 2021, could he have been trying a new route or pushing himself to uncharted sections this time? The trails can be treacherous, even for seasoned runners. I wonder if there were any other runners or hikers in the area around the same time who might have seen or heard anything unusual. We often think of these ultramarathoners as almost superhuman in their abilities to navigate and endure, but even the best can face unexpected challenges. Anyone familiar with that race knows how vast and remote parts of it can be. Could Andersen's training have taken him beyond what he anticipated? Perhaps reaching out to the ultrarunning communities online or nearby might yield someone who crossed paths with him. Thoughts?
