I've been following the discussions here and find it difficult to put into words how deeply impactful this tragedy has been on the Tucson community. Today, I wanted to focus on something that's been on my mind about Cory Michael Saunders. From everything I've read, it seems like Cory was truly a selfless individual, and it breaks my heart to read how he died trying to help others during such chaos. I can't begin to imagine the trauma his 11-year-old son must have endured, witnessing his father's final moments. It's just unimaginable.
It's clear that Cory's actions were those of someone who genuinely cared about his neighbors. He saw a dangerous situation and didn't hesitate to act, a testament to his character and bravery. While it's hard to make sense of the senseless, I hope that the community can rally around his family, especially his young son, to provide support and healing in this incredibly difficult time.
