Hi everyone, I can’t stop thinking about the role social media might play in situations like what happened with Efrain Escobar. It’s absolutely devastating to think that a dispute, possibly fueled by jealousy, led to such a tragic end. How often do young people, sometimes without realizing the potential consequences, post or share things that might escalate tensions? I wonder if Efrain and Buchanan had interactions online that every day we might overlook as just teenage drama but in reality, create underlying serious tensions. It's so important that we think about how we can educate young people to recognize escalating signs of conflict or threats on these platforms. Efrain’s life should not have been cut short over something so senseless, and it makes me hope even more that communities push for better awareness and support for teens navigating these complex social dynamics. Sending strength and love to Efrain’s family and friends. I can't even begin to imagine their pain, and I hope they find some comfort in the coming together of community support around them. What are your thoughts on preventing tragedies like this in the future?
