Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the community impact following Hector Antillon Acosta’s tragic death. It’s just so unsettling how gun violence can ripple through a neighborhood. The location, around 91st and Campbell, is an area I always thought of as pretty safe. It’s jarring to hear about something like this happening so close to home.
What's really troubling is how a single act of violence can affect so many people – not just Hector's family, who must be in unimaginable pain right now, but also friends, neighbors, and even those of us who live in nearby areas. It’s like a cloud has settled over the community. I hope the arrest of Robert Segobia brings some comfort, but it’s hard to shake off the sense of fear and loss.
I know there's still a lot we don't know about what led up to the shooting, but every detail that comes out has me wondering about what we, as a community, can do to prevent future tragedies. Are there any local initiatives, support groups, or community meetings being organized to address gun violence? It feels more important than ever to come together and find ways to keep each other safe and supported.
Sending love and strength to Hector’s loved ones - they need all the support they can get right now.
Stay safe, everyone.
Anyone else feel uneasy about the neighborhood where Hector's tragic incident occurred? 91st and Campbell has always seemed like a decent area, but recently it feels like there's been more violence making the news there. I've driven through that intersection many times, and the thought of something so awful happening there stays at the back of my mind. I've read that Phoenix has been trying to tackle gun violence over the last couple of years, but it still feels like the risk is everywhere. My heart goes out to Hector’s family. I hope the community can come together and support them during this incredibly difficult time. Does anyone else feel like more needs to be done on a community level to address gun violence?
Does anyone else feel anxious waiting for more updates on Hector's case? I just can't wrap my head around what motivates someone to do something so awful. The fact that Hector was only 41 and had so much more life to live makes it deeply unsettling. I keep checking for new details because it feels like there's more beneath the surface that hasn't come to light yet. I hope the investigators are getting closer to understanding what really happened that day. My heart goes out to Hector's family and friends during this terrible time. It's crucial that they get the closure they deserve, especially with so many questions still hanging in the air.
