I’ve been following the case of Richard Hodakievic and Jaquey James, and I just can't stop thinking about the role that witnesses played. It's terrifying to imagine being at that busy intersection and witnessing such a senseless act of violence. The bravery of the bystanders, especially Celaya’s girlfriend who stepped forward, is commendable. Without their quick reactions and information, who knows how much longer it would have taken to apprehend the suspect? It's a reminder that sometimes, in these awful situations, everyday people are put in positions to make difficult but crucial decisions. Thankful they were able to help the authorities track him down so swiftly. My heart goes out to the families of Richard and Jaquey during this incredibly difficult time. I hope justice is served for their sake.
