I've been following the tragic case of Edith Rivas, and I can't help but wonder about the role the apartment complex might have played in this tragedy. It's truly shocking that someone like Gary Parohinog, with his disturbing past, could have had so much freedom to cause harm. Did anyone else hear about whether the management was aware of Parohinog's previous criminal record when they allowed him to reside there? Should there have been more stringent background checks or measures in place for the safety of the residents? It's horrifying to think of Edith's final moments and the immense pain her family is going through now. I hope the family finds some answers and that there are changes implemented to prevent something like this from happening again. Every resident deserves to feel safe in the place they call home.

Anyone here familiar with the security situation at the complex where Edith Rivas was killed? It’s so tragic what happened, and I'm wondering if the apartment management could have done more to prevent this. It seems like there were a lot of opportunities for intervention before things escalated to such a horrible point. Maybe better lighting or cameras could have deterred Parohinog before he ever got inside? My heart goes out to Edith's family and friends. It's unimaginable what they're going through. It’s frustrating to think that something as simple as a parking argument ended in such senseless violence. Do any residents have thoughts on how the complex could improve safety?
