I keep thinking about how Claude Phillip must be feeling during all of this. Losing not just his daughter Leonna, but also his parents-in-law in such a violent manner is just unimaginable. Spending Christmas with Leonna only to lose her the next day must weigh heavily on him. I read somewhere that she was a co-captain of the drill team at Burke High School and a straight-A student, which speaks volumes about her dedication and spirit. It's so devastating to think about the potential and promise that was stolen from her and the many lives she touched. I really hope Claude and the rest of the family find some comfort and support from the community in this incredibly difficult time. Their strength through this unimaginable ordeal is truly inspiring. If anyone in the Omaha area has ways to support them, like fundraisers or community events, please share. Stay strong, Claude.
