Hey everyone,
I’ve been following Justin T. McDermott's case and I can't stop thinking about how much potential was taken from this world that night. What truly breaks my heart is knowing how close he was to starting this new chapter at Delaware Tech. Being fresh out of high school and gearing up for college is such a pivotal moment—it's when dreams start to feel tangible, you know? My cousin was in a similar spot last year, and I remember the excitement, the nerves, the plans...It makes the loss feel so much more tangible when you relate it to a loved one's experience.
I think of Justin's family, especially his parents and sisters, and how they'd have been looking forward to seeing him thrive in college and shape his future. It's incredibly unfair that they're now deprived of seeing him grow into the man he was meant to be. His fist punch dance, his love for Spanish tunes and car racing—these small, yet significant, pieces of his personality that made him Justin.
I really hope someone comes forward with the information needed to bring justice for Justin and his family. If anyone in the community has even the slightest piece of info, let’s do our part to help them find some peace. It's not just about Justin; it's about keeping our neighborhoods safe and ensuring these violent acts don’t happen again.
If you’re from the area and have any updates or insights, please share. Communities are stronger together. Let’s keep Justin and his family in our hearts ❤️
Stay safe, everyone.
Every time I hear about Justin's case, I can't help but think about how talented he was with drawing. It's such a tragedy that a young man with so much potential and creativity was taken so suddenly. His "fist punch dance" always sounded like something that added so much joy to those around him. It's hard to wrap my head around why anyone would target someone who seemed to bring so much light and laughter.
I didn't know him personally, but being part of a community that suffers such loss is tough. For someone about to start a journey in college and explore his artistic passion, it's devastating his life was cut short. My heart goes out to his family, especially his mom and dad, and I hope they find strength and support from people around them.
If anyone out there knows even a small detail about that night, please consider coming forward, even anonymously. It's crucial for Justin's memory and to help protect others in our community.
