Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Andrew Pennewell from Wilmington, and it's been really tugging at my heart. It's been almost six years now, and I'm still thinking about how his friends and family must be coping with the loss. What caught my eye most recently was the community’s call to action following his death. It's apparent that his passing was a catalyst for some real conversations about addressing gun violence in Wilmington. From what I understand, there have been several initiatives and discussions spearheaded by local leaders and activists pushing for better public safety measures. I genuinely hope these efforts continue to take root and make a difference. It's such a stark reminder of the ripple effect violence can have—not just on victim’s families, but on entire communities. Has anyone heard more about these programs or any progress since then? I think keeping the conversation going can hopefully contribute to some lasting change.
