I can't stop thinking about the impact Rajion "Ray Ray" Dinkins had on his community in Wilmington. It's clear from everything I've read and heard that he was a young man who brought so much light into other people's lives. His involvement with the Police Athletic League's youth choir and his work as a youth counselor at Kidz for Christ Summer Camp showed his genuine dedication to making a difference. I can't imagine the void his passing left for his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. It's such a tragedy when someone who was actively contributing to the wellbeing of their community is taken away in such a senseless manner. The recent arrest of the suspects doesn't bring him back, but it does show that justice is a process that can take time. I'm glad to see that the Cold Case Unit was committed to pursuing this case, and I'm hoping that their efforts will encourage others in the community to come forward with information in any similar cases. It's so important to foster a sense of trust and collaboration between the community and law enforcement to prevent further tragedies of this nature. My heart goes out to Ray Ray's family—I hope they can find some semblance of peace knowing that his killers are being held accountable.

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about Ray Ray’s involvement in the community, especially with the Police Athletic League's youth choir and the Kidz for Christ Summer Camp. It’s truly commendable how much he dedicated his time to help young people and spread positivity. I can't stop imagining the gap his absence must have left not just for his family, but for all the kids who looked up to him. He had such a vibrant spirit and clearly prioritized making a difference in his community. Anyone else remember stories about his time with these programs or any impact he had? His life, although cut short far too soon, seems to have been a beacon of hope and joy for many. Let’s keep sharing memories and continue to celebrate the beautiful impact he had on so many around him. Sending love and strength to his loved ones. Stay safe, everyone. ?
