I've been following the Wilmington cases closely and something has been on my mind about the response from the community when these awful events happened. After those devastating shootings in September 2020, it was incredible to see how the neighborhood came together in support of the victims' families, offering solace and backing efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice. The vigils and community meetings might not have solved everything, but they showed a real strength and unity during such a painful time. It's essential that this sense of community continues as the fight against crime and violence goes on. If anyone here attended any of those gatherings or knows firsthand how the community has been working on healing and prevention since, I’d love to hear your thoughts or any positive stories you can share. It’s so important to keep that spirit alive and remind each other that people do care and are willing to stand together against such tragedies.
