Has anyone else looked into the reported sighting of Hendrik Johan Nunes on Campo Rico Beach two weeks after he was supposed to arrive in St. Croix? I find it puzzling that he apparently showed up there on August 19, 2002, which is so far from where he was scheduled to go after his arrival at Rohlsen Airport. If he was known for walking and exploring, I wonder if he might have gone on a walk and somehow ended up at Campo Rico Beach by mistake. It seems like such a long time to not be in touch with anyone, though. Could that sighting have been a case of mistaken identity, or was there any other evidence to suggest that was truly him? I hope the investigating authorities followed up on this lead thoroughly! Has anyone come across any more details about what he was doing from August 2nd to the 19th? Maybe more info is out there than we've seen.
