Hello everyone, I’ve been following the Malik Benson case closely and something that really struck me is how this incident highlights the ongoing struggle Wilmington is facing with gun violence. I used to live near 6th and West streets, and while the area has its problems, it's truly sad to see such a young life lost in this manner. I remember hearing about efforts to curb violence in the city, but it seems like more needs to be done. My heart goes out to Malik’s family and friends, and I hope they feel the support of their community during this difficult time. Has anyone heard if the community is organizing any events or initiatives to address the violence? It's moments like these that show how urgent the need for action really is. Hoping for some positive change and, more importantly, justice for Malik.
