I've been following Bobby Surles' case since it happened, and one aspect that really sticks with me is the impact on his grandparents, Allen and MaryAnn. Losing Bobby, whom they raised, must have been an incredibly heavy burden to bear. I can't even begin to imagine the pain of losing a grandchild in such a tragic way. From what I've read, they did so much to support and nurture his love for skating, poetry, and the outdoors. It's clear he meant the world to them. I hope they found some comfort in the community's support and the memories shared at the memorial. Sending all my thoughts to those who loved Bobby—it's so clear he was deeply cherished. This case is a stark reminder of how one violent act can ripple through the lives of so many.
