Hey everyone,
I wanted to talk about the impact this incident has had on the Lewiston community. It's incredibly difficult to see such violence striking so close to home, especially when it involves young lives. Hassan Hassan's tragic death has left many in the community feeling vulnerable and concerned about safety, particularly on River Street, which used to feel more secure. I'm also curious about what this means for bail policies. Given that Nur was out on bail for a prior offense, it raises questions about how these decisions are made and whether there needs to be more stringent guidelines in place. It’s a complex issue, and there are no easy answers, but I hope discussions around these policies continue. Anyway, my thoughts are with Hassan's family and friends. It's a situation no one should ever have to face, and the community stands with them during this difficult time.
What are your thoughts on how we can address these issues moving forward?
