I've been thinking a lot about Mikey's incredible friendship with Jason Walker. The bond they shared is truly admirable and shows the power of a lifelong friendship. Facing such a terrifying situation, they both acted in a way that most of us would hope to, putting others first and embodying true bravery. It's really touching to hear how they made sure their loved ones and even children were safe before facing the danger head-on. I can't imagine what their families must be going through, but knowing that these two men spent their final moments being genuinely heroic is a testament to the kind of people they were. It's a reminder of the impact and importance of deep, genuine friendships in our lives. In honoring Mikey's memory, let's take a moment to reach out to a friend we haven't spoken to in a while, share a laugh, or recall a cherished memory. Sending all my thoughts and strength to their families and loved ones.

Has anyone else read about how Michael R. Deslauriers II, or "Mikey" as he was fondly known, spent 30 years as a network engineer at St. Mary's Hospital/Covenant Health? It's truly inspiring to see someone dedicate so much of their life to one career, especially in such a demanding field. It's clear that Mikey had a true passion for technology. His commitment to his work and the people he worked with speaks volumes about his character. I can only imagine how much he must have meant to his colleagues and the void his absence leaves there. Reading about how he transitioned to W.G. Tech later on just shows how much he was valued for his talents and expertise. Maybe some of you here have encountered him during his career? I'd love to hear more stories from anyone who had the chance to work with him. His career is a reminder of the profound impact one dedicated individual can have on those around them. My heart goes out to his family, children, and all those who knew and loved him. May his life and work leave a lasting mark on all who knew him.

The community must be devastated at the loss of someone with so much kindness and humor. I've been reading up on how much he loved his family, especially his kids, Keagan and Abriana. It's clear that he shared endless support and joy with them, and I can only imagine the profound impact of his love and dedication. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones during this terribly difficult time. If we can take anything from Michael's legacy, it's the reminder to cherish those close to us.
