George Keyser Sobrepena, a 76-year-old white man, was found fatally shot in his Belgrade mobile home on October 31, 2023. Deputies and emergency crews responded after a woman at the Lexley Acres park asked a construction worker to follow her; coworkers who returned with her found a person bleeding and unresponsive and a 911 call went out at about 1:17 p.m. Investigators later located Sobrepena’s body in the kitchen, surrounded by what appeared to be bullet strikes in the floor. Four spent casings and two fired bullets were recovered, and a handgun was found in the living room. An autopsy confirmed multiple gunshot wounds as the cause of death.

Forty-two-year-old Heather Ann Harrington was arrested and charged with Deliberate Homicide and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, and a judge ordered her held without bond. Few other details about motive or events leading up to the shooting are available in the report. Does anyone in the area recall seeing or hearing anything at Lexley Acres around midday on October 31?
