I’ve been following the Morey Pelton case and wondered if anyone else has thoughts on how the judicial process is unfolding. It’s interesting to see how plea deals come into play, especially with Hamlin agreeing to testify against Larkin. In some cases, these deals can be controversial, but they seem to be pretty crucial in prosecuting bigger players. Another thing that strikes me is the delay in Larkin's trial. It was supposed to start in July 2023, yet it kept getting pushed back. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for Morey’s family, having to endure more waiting. Does anyone have insights into why trials get delayed like this? I know it can be a myriad of reasons, but it feels like this dragging on must be tough for everyone involved. Regardless of the legal maneuvers, I hope they find some measure of justice for Morey. It’s important that his story doesn’t fade away amid all the legal back and forth.

Given the recent developments, I can't help but wonder about the complex dynamic between Randy Larkin and Gerald Hamlin. The fact that Hamlin agreed to testify against Larkin says a lot—perhaps he realized the gravity of what they'd done, though there's certainly more to the story we may never fully understand. It makes me curious to know how deep their relationship ran and what would drive them to make such irreversible choices. For Morey Pelton's family and friends, this must be extremely difficult, especially with all the delays in Larkin's trial. Waiting for closure must feel like an eternity. I hope they find some peace amidst the chaos of all these legal proceedings. Anyone else have thoughts on how those plea deals can often compel someone to testify, potentially altering the course of a case?
